Why I wrote this book
For years I watched gifted people rehearse the same sentence: "one day." They had the calling, the competence and the conviction — but they were waiting on a signal that was never going to come.
I wrote Your Next Is Now because I was one of them. There was a season where my own next was sitting in front of me, fully funded by grace, and I kept negotiating with it. The day I stopped negotiating, everything moved.
This is not a motivational book. It is a pastoral one. It walks you through naming your next, dismantling the comfort loop that protects you from it, and building the bridge you will actually walk across.
Chapter One — The Myth of Someday
Someday is the most expensive word in the English language. It costs you nothing to say and everything to keep.
We treat it like a date on a calendar, but it never appears on one. It is a room with no door — comfortable, warm, and quietly fatal to purpose.
The people I have watched step into their next were rarely the most talented in the room. They were simply the ones who refused to pay rent on someday any longer.
